Philosophers are supposed to be among the most open-minded critical thinkers, but many turn out to be rigid to the point that they refuse to read across their analytical and continental divide. Could this be partly due to their training emphasizing on personal voice and analytical skills, thus after 'thorough' analysis in one's own voice, it's hard to disassociate voice (identity) with opinion?? Is this inevitable? What can be remedy?
